When Does the New Hospital Open?

Five Years in planning and construction and we are now just five months away from completing the largest pediatric expansion in US History. How exciting is that! Hot off the Presses – here are some key dates to add to your calendar.

Sunday, June 10th – Grand Opening Community Picnic – We open our doors to everyone for this special Friends and Family preview day including reunion activities for our patient alumni. Everyone is invited with many special surprises planned!
Wednesday, June 20th – Move-In Day – Patients and Families will move into the new hospital.

So is it true that some patients have moved into the new hospital?
It is true. One week ago today, we moved 63 patients and their families into the first two completed floors of the new hospital. The remainder of the building is under construction and patients will move in June when the building is completed. This early move works out perfectly as these two floors of the new hospital are connected to the existing facilities via sky bridges (the only two floors that connect in this way). The move went perfectly and it was a good trial for the larger scale move in June.
